F&W has completed similar projects with the following entities: Pioneer National Resources, Ice Services, North Slope Borough, Brice Incorporated, Cruz Construction, Conoco Phillips and Jacobs Engineering (formerly CH2M).

F&W has an in-house Tenant Improvement field crew, who works solely on these unique projects.

F&W understands the challenges that come with working within occupied spaces, and that these spaces are often found in sensitive environments such as hospitals/medical facilities, schools, financial institutions, etc.

In order to ensure neighboring tenants/occupants face limited distractions, F&W project managers and field crews maintain close communication with owners and neighbors, keep up to date schedules, work night shifts, create custom noise, dust and environmental mitigation plans, etc.

This experience has allowed us to secure an ongoing relationship with several large entities such as, the State of Alaska, Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska Regional Hospital, Ice Services, Coldwell Bankers, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and University of Alaska, Anchorage, to name a few.

Construction Manager / General Constructor (CMGC)

It’s all about relationships, particularly in Alaska. At F&W this is as true as ever. Our long history in Alaska has enabled us to create partnerships with a handful of select architects, engineers, suppliers, and vendors. This allows us to hand pick subject matter experts to ensure the project design and constructability is cost effective and efficient.

F&W is a proud and active member of the Associated General Contractors of America, Alaska Chapter. This relationship gives us access to over 600-member companies who cast a wide net in construction related services across Alaska. These relationships provide us qualified team members who have years of experience serving projects in Alaska.

F&W enjoys the opportunity to participate in the pre-construction phase. Our participation and interaction with owners, owner representatives, and design teams allow for adjustments and risks to be mitigated, reducing schedule delays and construction phase challenges.

F&W’s team of project managers, cost estimators and superintendents bring over 100 years of experience constructing projects across the state of Alaska. Our expertise and collaborative approach brings immense value to the constructability and value engineering review process.

Our team has the ability to adjust mixtures as needed to further ensure continuity, structural integrity and design.

F&W has worked with the following entities on a number of these projects including Juneau International Airport, Offshore Services Inc., Ice Services, Pacific Pile & Maine, Knik Construction/Lynden Family of Companies, ManTech Mechanical, Municipality of Anchorage and Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.

Throughout the years F&W has provided quality vertical construction projects that vary widely in scope, including: airports, schools, aircraft hangars, snow removal equipment buildings, office and medical facilities, government and tribal offices. Our project management and field crews work closely together to provide wood, structural steel and pre-engineered metal building packages all over the state of Alaska.

F&W has delivered countless successful vertical projects across the state of Alaska for more than 60 years. Because some of these projects have been constructed in some of Alaska’s most remote communities, they have challenged us to sharpen our skills in rural logistics.

Unique transport methods such as barging, helicopter lifts and herc loads are easily navigated through our skilled office and field crews.
